Margin Protection is a crop insurance product sold by Farm Credit Services of America, a leading provider of credit and insurance services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses and rural residents in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.

The Challenge

Margin Protection is a relatively new and complicated product being offered to producers. It provides coverage against an unexpected decrease in operating margin by locking in a margin guarantee. FCSAmerica needed a campaign that could do some heavy lifting around education, awareness and thought leadership.

How We Helped

Meyocks took a deep dive into Margin Protection research and developed insights as to the best way to communicate the core features and benefits to the market.

Part of that was capturing successful customer stories from the client and developing concise, relevant case studies.

We created a robust digital content piece featuring the case studies, FAQs and the benefits of using Marginal Protection that the FCSAmerica sales team could use. We also used it as part of a Facebook and Google lead ad campaign. In addition, it was shared in FCSAmerica’s Common Ground e-newsletter.

The campaign also included a postcard mailing, statement stuffers featuring unique QR codes, Google display ads and multiple landing pages.

What We Achieved

Meyocks was not only able to create awareness for Margin Protection, but also generate leads with a four-month campaign.

Average time on site for the Margin Protection landing page was double the average time for the entire FCSAmerica site.

This lead campaign solidified FCSAmerica’s expertise position in the marketplace with tangible growth in the acres they support. Acres within FCSAmerica territory covered by Margin Protection have grown 72% in just the past year with FCSAmerica covering 75% of that. They truly are the Margin Protection experts.
