Senior Marketing Research Analyst

How You Will Help Our Clients Mean More

As a part of the Data Science team, you’ll be responsible for helping Meyocks expand our market research analytics capabilities and helping to inform data-driven strategic decisions. You’ll join a team of marketing analysts, research associates and strategists helping us uncover market and customer insights that address business opportunities and challenges. This role includes designing primary research methodologies and writing survey instruments, analyzing survey data and applying advance analytics and predictive analysis. This role requires a strong blend of marketing knowledge and mathematical skills.

Skills, Education and Experience Required for This Role

  • Degree or equivalent work experience in data science, statistics, mathematics or similar discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in designing and analyzing custom qualitative and quantitative marketing research and strategic consulting in a business context.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in survey methodology (writing custom survey questionnaires, defining sampling methods and statistical response analysis) ensuring clients will get the most out of their research.
  • Experience with survey statistics (sampling theory, hypothesis, contingency tables, weighting, cross-tabulation, significance testing).
  • Interpretation of data and application of advanced mathematical analysis finding and delivering data-backed insights contributing to success of marketing.
  • Ability to apply statistical techniques to uncover and report relevant and actionable findings, synthesizing data from multiple datasets.
  • Proficiency in predictive modeling techniques, adept at selecting the most suitable methodology to address specific business inquiries effectively.
  • Bring together data from a variety of sources and apply multivariate analysis techniques, statistical modeling, simulation, optimization techniques, etc.
  • Proficiency with one or more data aggregation and analysis languages like Python, R, etc.
  • Familiarity with survey collection software (Qualtrics or Alchemer).
  • Good judgement with the ability to determine appropriate statistical and data analysis concepts to apply to a given research project and to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to make quick judgement calls and decision making.
  • Strong prioritization skills, translating strategic business priorities into daily work and impact.
  • Mentor and provide guidance within the agency.
  • Must be a self-starter: quick learner, intuitive and proactive
  • Willing to learn, grow and evolve with the team

Skills, Education and Experience Desired for This Role

  • Experience with Tableau, either as a consumer of data or creator of visualizations.
  • Experience using syndicated research tools, including MRI Simmons or GWI.
  • Familiarity of alternative data sources that can be used to enhance our first party data, including Snowflake marketplace.

Where You Will Work

This position can be virtual. We prefer candidates in the Midwest but are open to other US locations (only) for highly qualified candidates. We will not provide sponsorship. We will require travel 6-8 times a year.
