HR Generalist

How You Will Help Our Clients Mean More

The HR Generalist will work with the Meyocks Operations team to develop and implement HR strategies that allow our team members to be and do their best while helping our clients Mean More.

In this role you will:

Recruiting, Selection & Onboarding

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions.
  • Participate in recruitment processes, including applicant tracking.
  • Assist in conducting interviews and evaluating candidates.
  • Participate in employee onboarding.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Help administer compensation and benefit plans.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries.

Performance Management

  • Assist in performance management processes.

Professional Development

  • Help organize training and development initiatives.

Employee Relations

  • Address employee inquiries including those related to leaves, compensation, and policies.
  • Resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.

Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Develop and implement an internal communications plan.

Regulatory & Administrative

  • Contribute to the creation and updating of HR policies.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain employee records and confidentiality.

Skills, Education and Experience Required for This Role

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of human resource management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Must be a self-starter: quick learner, intuitive and proactive.

  • Meyocks is seeking candidates in the Central Iowa area. 
  • This position offers flexibility and a hybrid work environment – working both from home and our West Des Moines office.
