LoCo Lab Selects Meyocks to Market New Project Boosting Farm Resilience

Meyocks to provide market research, brand strategy and creative support.

Meyocks, a leading branding and marketing agency, today announced a partnership with LoCo Lab to support a multi-party collaboration focused on helping farmers build more resilient and sustainable production systems while providing consumers with transparency into how their food is grown. Meyocks will conduct market research, develop brand strategy, and create marketing materials that farmers engaged in the program will use to promote their products.

The new program, called Farmer-First, is a pilot project funded by an Advancing Markets for Producers grant. It will support technical and marketing assistance for farmers who grow crops and livestock using farming practices recognized to improve soil health. The practices will be tracked and verified via LoCo Lab’s proprietary methodology and blockchain technology, Farmer-First Verify. Once completing verification, farmers can utilize Farmer-First marketing and branding materials that signal financial and environmental sustainability.  

“By working with farmers to improve their soils, we’re not only helping to boost the productivity of their land but their profitability, too,” said Megan Matousek, LoCo Lab founder and CEO. “We enlisted Meyocks to help us define and deploy brand strategy for Farmer-First to equip producers in the program with tools they need to promote their products. Matousek anticipates Farmer-First labeled materials will pilot test with consumers in the Pacific Northwest later this year. Consumers will be able to track the origin and production practices via a QR code across Farmer-First branded materials, products, and online.
