The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of digital, web and research projects at Meyocks. This role requires a deep understanding of web development, digital marketing, and/or research project management at an advertising agency. They will be familiar with project management best practices and agile methodology but will be able to balance that with ‘just enough’ process for a creative agency. The Project Manager will collaborate with creative, technical, and account service teams to define and document scope, create estimates, write SOWs, identify milestones, manage timelines and track budgets to meet client objectives and drive business growth. They must be able to balance multiple projects across different clients concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement project management best practices and processes for the agency.
- Lead the planning and implementation of digital, web, and research projects.
- Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with cross-functional account teams and other stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to be shared with internal team members and client partners.
- Coordinate internal resources and external partners for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create project templates for repeatable workflows.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Continually develop leadership skills, attend conferences and complete applicable training to maintain proficiency.
- Stay on top of project management software updates and integrate across the agency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be a self-starter, quick learner, intuitive and proactive.
- Proficiency with project management software tools, Asana experience preferred.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, web development; development skills a plus.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated experience working in a remote environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing digital and web projects, preferably within an advertising agency.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies.
- PMP, Agile, or other project management certification is preferred.
Meyocks is not a place-based agency. The Project Manager can be located in Central Iowa or remote, however, central time zone is preferred.
